Rehema Khimulu is a goal oriented, determined and motivated professional who is enthusiastic about sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Her previous engagegements, including her volunteer experiences, in the fields of environment, corporate governance and related subjects nurtured in her a growing interest in Clean Energy Technologies. Her administration, lobbying and advocacy skills are evidenced in the teams she built and the timely results she delivered. She has had a stint with 'Kaizen' related systems including SA8000, ISO9001:2008, ISO14000:2008 and ISO5000 serving over ten (10) clients, both government and corporate; as well as spatial toolkits using ArcGISDesktop, ERDAS Imagine and ENVI. When she is not carving cracks on the professional ceiling, she is enjoying interesting children and youth in Africa in the game of Chess and offering support to the Inuka Leadership (Kenya), start up.

CHESS FOR PEACEApr 2012May 2012Begun the first series of 'Chess for Peace' tournaments in conjunction with Universal Peace Federation, Nairobi Branch. This was ahead of the presidential elections that were coming up in Kenya, following the outcomes of the 2007 elections.

The Women Food Climate Campaign was carried out by a group of various organizations including AYICC where I was the COP21 Coordinator. Our role was to sensitize the youth especially young women on the effects of Climate Change on food production and to promote smart agriculture.

Africa ClimDev Youth Platform - ACLYPOccupation (Volunteer) Member & Liaison to the AU/ECAJan 2015Nov 2024African Union leaders solidified their commitment to Africa‟s youth participation in addressing climate change in 2014. At the 23rd African Union Summit of Heads of State, under the Malabo Declaration decision number Assembly/AU/Dec. 538(XXII), African Member States requested the following: “Elaborate on the implementation of the Coordinator of the committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC) Youth Programme on Climate Change (CYPCC) including Youth participation in climate change negotiations; and continental wide youth competition on climate change aspects to enhance youth engagement in climate change actions”.
